From the Driver UI

Enter the cngplp command from the command line with administrator privileges.

Select the printer you are using in the [cngplp] dialog box → click [Properties].

click [Device Settings], and Select [Use User Authentication Function].

Click [Settings].

The [User Name/PIN Settings] dialog box is displayed.

Enter the user name and PIN → click [OK].

Click [OK] in the [Device Settings] sheet.

Click [Save Settings].

Enter the cngplp command from the command line with user privileges.

Enter the user name and PIN again, and save the settings.

From the cnjatool

Enter the following command with administrator privileges to enable the User

Authentication Function.

# cnjatool -e [Printer Name]

Enter the following command with user privileges to start cnjatool.

$ cnjatool -pu [Printer Name]

Enter the User Name and PIN.

NOTE

Also use the driver UI or cnjatool when disabling the User Authentication Function.
