Reducing Flicker
N
If you shoot an image with a fast shutter speed under a light source
such as uorescent light, the blinking of the light source causes icker
and the image may be vertically unevenly exposed. If continuous
shooting is used under these conditions, uneven exposures or colors
across the images may result. This feature enables the camera to
detect the ickering frequency and take pictures when exposure and
colors are less aected by ickering.
1
Select [
z
6: Anti-icker shoot.].
2
Select [Enable].
3
Take the picture.
z
To detect icker manually after setting
to [Enable] or when the light source
changes, before shooting, press the
<
Q
> button, select [Anti-icker
shoot.], then press the <
B
>
button.
z
The picture will be taken with reduced
unevenness of exposure or color tone
caused by the icker.
o
With [Enable] set, the shutter-release time lag is longer when you shoot
under a ickering light source. Also, the continuous shooting speed may
become slower, and the shooting interval may become irregular.
o
Flicker at a frequency other than 100 Hz or 120 Hz cannot be detected.
Also, if the ickering frequency of the light source changes during
continuous shooting, eects of the icker cannot be reduced.
